A Self-guided tour of Lee's Diverse Farming Community
Lee, NH ~ A Community ~ Rooted in History ~ Growing the Future

Participating Farms:

  • Boulder Brook Stables at Cornerstone Farm : 596 Calef Hwy (Rte 125)
    Owners/Operators: Jay Grumbling, Scott Grumbling & Amanda Hanson
    Horse boarding, training and instruction. Serving all of your equine education needs in a new modern facility. Tours, displays and demonstrations throughout the day.
  • Flag Hill Winery & Distillery : 297 North River Rd (Rte 155)
    Owners/operators: The Reinhold Family
    Free tours of the vineyards, winery and distillery with a wine tasting. Tours start at 10am and will run approximately every 1/2 hour with the last tour at 2:30pm. Lunch will be available from 11:30-2:00 at family pricing.
  • *Coppal House Farm & Corn Maze : 118 North River Rd (Rte 155)
    Owners/operators: John & Carol Hutton
    A family farm featuring a professionally designed corn maze, pumpkins, fall specialty crops and draft horses for work and pleasure. Also, the Ath-Mor Farm, a local Holstein dairy. 
  • *Echo Ridge Farm, LLC : 22 Cartland Road
    Owners/operators: Fred Schultz & Kelly Perkins
    Horse boarding/training facility specializing in eventing. We host several shows/clinics throughout the year.
  • *Walnut Grove Farm : 48-49 Cartland Road
    Owners/operators: John & Laura Gund, Scott & Gina Kemp, Nellie Teeling.
    A variety of farm animals; Lee 4-H 4-Paws Dog Club, antique tractor parade. Walk on beautiful Cartland Road, steeped in history.  Also Pinewoods Yankee Farm - Belted Galloways, fresh flowers and compost. 
  • *Woolmark Farm : 52 Cartland Road
    Owners/operators: Dwight & Sally Barney
    Tunis & Border Leicester sheep, spinning, Yankee Teemsters 4-H Working Steer Club, Lee Hill 4-H Sheep Club, old tractors & tractor parade
  • Velvet Pastures Elk Ranch : 95 Wednesday Hill Road
    Owners/operators: The Griswold Family
    Everything elk! Come see our herd of 30+ Rocky Mountain and Manitoban elk. Walking tours of the farm and elk handling facility will be held at 10:00, 11:30, 1:00, and 2:30. Elk meat and elf related products will be on sale throughout the day.
  • Misty Meadows Farm & Herbal Center : 183 Wednesday Hill Road
    Owners/operators: Clyde and Wendy Fogg
    Organic & wildcrafted herbs, retail shop, educational facility, display gardens, garden tours & wild plant ID walks throughout the day.
  • UNH Burleigh-DeMeritt Farm : 216 Lee Hook Road
    Owners/operators: University of New Hampshire
    Organic dairy farm with Jersey cows and calves.
  • Live & Learn Daycare & Early Learning Center : 114 Mast Road (Rte 155)
    Owners/operators: The Miner Family
    Children's Gardening Project
  • Tuckaway & Sheltering Rock Farms : Lee Rd (Rte 155) & Randall Rd
    Owners/operators: The Cox Family
    Organic produce, hay, blueberries, Wentworth Hunt, Seacoast Polo, and a variety of farm animals; polo game demo, biodiesel display
  • DeMeritt Hill Farm : 66 Lee Road (Rte 155)
    Owners/operators: Meg & Roy Wilson (owners), Mike Lynch (manager)
    Full service farm stand featuring bakery, gift & craft shop, PYO apples, pumpkins, fresh pressed cider, Christmas trees, playground, farm animlas, picnic area & hayrides; Halloween & Christmas activities.

Many of the farms on the tour are permanently protected by conservation easements.

Cartland Rd. will be closed to automobiles throughout this event.

*Parking at Coppal House Station, with horse-drawn rides to Echo Ridge Farm, Walnut Grove Farm, and Woolmark Farm on cartland Road.  More parking at Echo Ridge, for Cartland Road access.

We hope you have a wonderful time visiting the farms on this year's tour.  You will find everything from lambs and elk, donkeys, chickens and cows, to horses, wine, organic produce and wild medicine/food and plant ID walks.  Food and drinks along the way will make it possible for your family to enjoy the whole day!  Toilet facilities are available at most locations.

Lunch will be served at Walnut Grove Farms on Cartland Rd and at Flag Hill Winery & Distillery on Route 155.  Both are excellent choices and will be serving locally procured foods.
